How Does It Work?
Once a month during the season, one farm will host a tour of their farm, speak about specific topics (cover cropping, composting, greenhouse production etc.) and finish with a potluck dinner.
Attendance is open to all apprentices, hourly workers, serious volunteers, managers, owner/operators, and family members of Farm Members of CRAFT in Eastern Connecticut.
All other farm people, or interested individuals, wishing to attend, must contact that farm in advance (click participating farm for details, below).
What we want to achieve:
- Training of farm workers and apprentices in the craft of small scale agriculture
- Exchanging ideas among farm people
- Bringing together a community of farmers, farm workers, and others who are interested in local agriculture
