Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training

EASTERN CT CRAFT

2025 SCHEDULE

How Does It Work?

CRAFT stands for Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training. Our goal is:
  • Training of farm workers and apprentices in the craft of small scale agriculture
  • Exchanging ideas among farm people
  • Bringing together a community of farmers, farm workers, and others who are interested in local agriculture

Starting in 2025, we are changing the format a little!

Three times a season (one in June, August and October), one farm will host a tour of their farm and speak about specific topics (cover cropping, composting, greenhouse production etc.) We will finish with a potluck dinner where we can continue discussing these topics and about farming in general!

Finally, we will meet indoors for one last session during the winter at a farm to discuss a particular topic and have a potluck.

Attendance is open to all farm workers, serious volunteers, managers, owner/operators in CT and beyond as well as family members.

Sign up for the Eastern CT CRAFT mailing list below to receive monthly emails during the season for meeting details and RSVP. If you do not wish to be added to the listserv but want to join some meetings, please contact the host farm directly to RSVP.
